Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Antal Valentin made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3rd play minutes Antal Valentin shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Cafu Trancoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tales Meira in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Clube Recife's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Trancoso came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 played minutes Sport Clube Recife got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Perez. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sport Clube Recife's Cafu Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 16th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Cafu Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cafu Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Tales Meira sent off a good shot on target. Cafu Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Balazs Lajos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hungary booed when Sport Clube Recife was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafu Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Sport Clube Recife got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho do Nascimento. In the 37th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Hortêncio Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Major Barna sped through Sport Clube Recife's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cafu Trancoso. In the 43rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cafu Trancoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 47th match minute, Sport Clube Recife was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Barral to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 59th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Cafu Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Cafu Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 66th minute. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Clube Recife's Cafu Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 72nd minute of play. Takacs Tibor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Trancoso having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cafu Trancoso. Cafu Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 88th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Sport Clube Recife's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. 91 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Sport Clube Recife getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sandrinho do Nascimento hit a great ball. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
