Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Zachary Snaza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Felipe Barreto hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Zachary Snaza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Aurel Trifan in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. In the 15th match minute, FC Ruscova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çetin Kantürk to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Çetin Kantürk could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Wilson Amorim however easily saved by the left post. Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 32nd minute of the match. FC Ruscova's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 34th minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zachary Snazas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Duckadam was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Helmuth Duckadam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 57th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ruscova's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Graciano Coutinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Ruscova's Helmuth Duckadam did a great save. Graciano Coutinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Helmuth Duckadam came out and tried to block the shot, but Graciano Coutinho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. A sloppy throw-in by Rodolfo Miranda in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Ruscova's Pablo Mark. With his leg Helmuth Duckadam managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ruscova's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Pimentel was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Portugal's Felipinho Amorim getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Zachary Snaza might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zachary Snaza ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çetin Kantürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Snaza in the 88th minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Felipinho Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felipinho Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helmuth Duckadam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Portugal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portugal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
