The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 이 하 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 이 하 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, 이 하 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 김 황. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Simon Bendtsen hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match 김 최 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, 이 하 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vancouver Whitecaps fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when 김 최 came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 김 황 having to interfere. Vancouver Whitecaps's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Chris Nygaard scored to the left of an out of position 김 황, making the score, 1-1. In the 59th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Steen to maneuver through the defense. 김 최 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Vancouver Whitecaps getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. 송 선우 hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, 이 하 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and 이 하 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 이 하 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Nygaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but 김 황 made a huge save. 김 최 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Vancouver Whitecaps's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but 김 황 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 김 황 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After having played for 83 minutes, 이 하 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Whitecaps's supporters crossed their fingers, but 이 하 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, 김 황 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 김 후's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 김 후 helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Whitecaps's 김 후 got a free kick in the 85th minute. 김 최 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 90 minutes, 이 하 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, 이 하 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vancouver Whitecaps succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Denmark had controlled the match.
