In the 8th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Bertram Svenningsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severiano Bartoli was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Tebaldo in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertram Svenningsen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Severiano Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Simon Bendtsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Tebaldo in the 25th minute of play. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Luprechauns's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. In the 44th minute, Bertram Svenningsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Luprechauns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. Mikkel Wulff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severiano Bartoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Tebaldo in the 61st minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Severiano Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. In the 65th match minute, Luprechauns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Urtsin to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Bartoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chris Nygaard in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Severiano Bartoli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 79 played minutes Luprechauns got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Urtsin. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Luprechauns's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. The corner led Denmark's Chris Nygaard to fire away a dangerous shot which Severiano Bartoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Juvenal Briñas tried in the 83rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Severiano Bartoli a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-4. Chris Nygaard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severiano Bartoli having to make a save. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play.
