The supporters of Luprechauns booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severiano Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes in the game, Chris Nygaard dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Luprechauns's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Severiano Bartoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Bertram Svenningsen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Luprechauns's Severiano Bartoli. Severiano Bartoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Steen in the 23rd minute of play forced Luprechauns's goalkeeper Severiano Bartoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Nygaard spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Luprechauns's goal. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 34th minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Bartoli having to interfere. Severiano Bartoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Ludvigsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Bartoli having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severiano Bartoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Luprechauns's goalkeeper Severiano Bartoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severiano Bartoli was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 95th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Kirkegaard to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Arturo Tebaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. Denmark's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
