Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tormaigh Cassin started the match with the kick off. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Boruc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Rayo Bengala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 7th minute Julen Castellano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tormaigh Cassin came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julen Castellano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Policarpio Lama came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Tormaigh Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute of play forced Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Tormaigh Cassin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Tormaigh Cassin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Policarpio Lama in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Bengala's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Boruc came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute of the match, Tormaigh Cassin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julen Castellano in the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Rayo Bengala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nerio Etxeberria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Boruc. Artur Boruc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julen Castellano in the 47th minute of play. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo Bengala's Tormaigh Cassin. But to his dismay, Tormaigh Cassin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Policarpio Lama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Rayo Bengala got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Lorenzo. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Macabeo Sampil's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Macabeo Sampil in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Macabeo Sampil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Macabeo Sampil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. Rayo Bengala made a substitution. Teofilo Marquez replaced Ekaitz Cabrera. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Policarpio Lama in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julen Castellano in the 96th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Artur Boruc when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
