In the 8th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofoklis Prinianakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Henley on Thames United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Beinn Speight hit a great ball. The supporters of Henley on Thames United booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sofoklis Prinianakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 15th minute of play. Edgar Iovanovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Henley on Thames United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Grant Sherwood hit a great ball. Kristian Ottaway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sofoklis Prinianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 43rd minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Kristian Ottaway made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sofoklis Prinianakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sofoklis Prinianakis made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. The corner led to Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Henley on Thames United from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Henley on Thames United's goalkeeper Sofoklis Prinianakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Houghton in the 85th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Iovanovici in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Houghton came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sofoklis Prinianakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Sofoklis Prinianakis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
