With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camille Baume sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Su Xiang Chuan was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of A.C.Mandala booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Bruneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Leão came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorival Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Babylon in the 33rd minute of the match. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Su Xiang Chuan having to interfere. When Maxence Durand was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Maxence Durand hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Alexis Bruneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Gustavsson to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Camille Baume rounded A.C.Mandala's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Tiago Tinoco hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Gustavsson in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Dorival Leão notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of France's Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, A.C.Mandala's Tomas Gustavsson got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, A.C.Mandala's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Su Xiang Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, A.C.Mandala's goalkeeper Su Xiang Chuan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. 79 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Leão came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
