John-Paul Marquant's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 9 minutes into the game, Albin Holweck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcelino Flor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Paul Marquant, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terry Peysson. John-Paul Marquant took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marcelino Flor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. John-Paul Marquant struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Madness. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Ahmet Orhan Perk with Terry Peysson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. John-Paul Marquant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but John-Paul Marquant slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 35th minute. Green Madness's attentive Arnoldo Betadur managed to snatch the ball when Willy Stieler made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when John-Paul Marquant came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by La Škarpa in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Linus Schwerner. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, John-Paul Marquant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Madness's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Marquant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Germany defense, John-Paul Marquant kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When Maël Colombet came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Green Madness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maël Colombet couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maël Colombet in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 minutes, Maël Colombet made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Green Madness's La Škarpa got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Ahmet Orhan Perk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Peysson in the 82nd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Green Madness got a freekick which was hit by Terry Peysson. Green Madness's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
