Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antal Valentin started the match with the kick off. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Cauan Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. Cauan Favoretto's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Cauan Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Hurezeanu having to interfere. Hungary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Lorenzo Santa María scored to the left of an out of position Fodor Daniel, making the score, 1-1. Santiago Futebol Clube's Anton Hurezeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balazs Lajos in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Berthold Borgi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santiago Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. After a rather tough play, Santiago Futebol Clube's Berthold Borgi got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Hurezeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes Santiago Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santiago Futebol Clube's goalie and right to Balazs Lajos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santiago Futebol Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Santiago Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Enrique Arósio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Enrique Arósio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Hurezeanu having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Lorenzo Santa María made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Santa María in the 60th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Santiago Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berthold Borgi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Major Barna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Enrique Arósio took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Santiago Futebol Clube made a substitution. Arlindo Ramos replaced Carlos Santana. When Enrique Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Santiago Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Arósio couldn't finish the play. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Anton Hurezeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Lorenzo Santa María hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Santiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Santa María. In the 79th minute, Arlindo Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Anton Hurezeanu in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Santa María came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Santiago Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berthold Borgi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Santiago Futebol Clube's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Hurezeanu came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes Santiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Mangas. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Santiago Futebol Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
