Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Serbülent Tokuş got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-4. The throw-in from Ahmet Emir Akduman in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rafet Ergümen's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafet Ergümen helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes the end got a freekick which was hit by Rafet Ergümen. Aziz Şentürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Serbülent Tokuş managed to get in a good position for a shot. the end's supporters rose to their feet, but Serbülent Tokuş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Ferenc Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Ali Erginer in the 81st minute of the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behçet Vezir in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to the end getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Rafet Ergümen hit a great ball. In the 89th match minute, the end was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafet Ergümen to maneuver through the defense. After 90 minutes, Behçet Vezir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the the end and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Mümtazer Cumali with Ahmet Emir Akduman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than the end throughout the match.
