POLI TIMISOARA
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antal Valentin started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Săvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes POLI TIMISOARA got a freekick which was hit by Călin Hulubei. Dinu Săvoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. POLI TIMISOARA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dinu Săvoiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antal Valentin's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Dinu Săvoiu on his right side and into the goal. 10 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Dinu Săvoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dinu Săvoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinu Săvoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinu Săvoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Edgar Onea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dinu Săvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Edgar Onea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Dinu Săvoiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 35th minute of play forced POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Dinu Săvoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vörös Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after POLI TIMISOARA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Onea to strike the kick off in the second half. Dinu Săvoiu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dinu Săvoiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Onea in the 55th minute of play. POLI TIMISOARA's Dinu Săvoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save POLI TIMISOARA from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Dinu Săvoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hegedus Henrik. A collision led to POLI TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Călin Hulubei hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 65th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Major Barna to maneuver through the defense. If Hegedus Henrik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dinu Săvoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, POLI TIMISOARA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hegedus Henrik charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hegedus Henrik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horaţiu Blăniță placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 80th minute, Hungary's Balazs Lajos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 84th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that POLI TIMISOARA's Dinu Săvoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Hulubei in the 93rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Vörös Henrik. In the 96th minute of the game, Octav Cupșa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 96 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hungary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave POLI TIMISOARA the free kick. POLI TIMISOARA's Csaba Müller was substituted for Octav Cupșa. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Antal Valentin hit a great ball. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
