The crowd rose to their feet as Olympique Gdynia's Czeslaw Domeracki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Grau. That made the score 2-2 after 93 minutes of play. Şota Arveladzes short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Adolfo Grau to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

In the 101st minute Tirso Isasaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Grau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 104 minutes on the clock, Benjamin Olentzaro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 103rd minute, one of Brujas KV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brujas KV. In the 105th minute, Şota Arveladze made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Grau. Brujas KV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olympique Gdynia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
