Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 5th minute of play forced GD Fiães's goalkeeper Cassiano Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Delyan Temelyotev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cassiano Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of GD Fiães's Cassiano Mendonça. Cassiano Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, GD Fiães's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maurício Câmara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cassiano Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassiano Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. GD Fiães's Cassiano Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GD Fiães's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cassiano Mendonça came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Maurício Câmara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Delyan Temelyotev kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 48th play minute Telmo Teves came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnout Reekers. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Mendonça having to interfere. Maurício Câmara hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind GD Fiães's goalkeeper Cassiano Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by GD Fiães's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Cassiano Mendonça despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cassiano Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 59th minute of play. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Mendonça having to interfere. Maurício Câmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Câmara in the 65th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Teves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Cassiano Mendonça in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st match minute, GD Fiães was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delyan Temelyotev to maneuver through the defense. GD Fiães's Cassiano Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save GD Fiães from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Cassiano Mendonça threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
