An unexpectedly hard shot by Günalp Talip in the 13th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arın Biçim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Dave Murray sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Nueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of the match. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Günalp Talip scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-0. Dave Murray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's Günalp Talip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Adalberto Nueva made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Adalberto Nueva to make any attempt to save it. After 56 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Murray in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Dave Murray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adalberto Nueva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Iron Maiden FC made a substitution. Janick Geers replaced Dave Murray. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute Günalp Talip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adalberto Nueva could save by the left post. In the 93rd minute, Günalp Talip ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
