If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 4th minute of play forced Palliniakos FC's goalkeeper Helmut Tõnuri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yves Dervaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Palliniakos FC booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Devos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Palliniakos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Helmut Tõnuri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palliniakos FC's goalkeeper Helmut Tõnuri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Palliniakos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Helmut Tõnuri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perivaldo de Lima in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Helmut Tõnuri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Palliniakos FC's Xabier 赵云. But to his dismay, Xabier 赵云 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Plaski came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Palliniakos FC's Helmut Tõnuri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Palliniakos FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Palliniakos FC's Helmut Tõnuri got control of the ball when Yves Dervaux tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belgium were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
