The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Boros Benedek got a free kick in the 10th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Calderero in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 18th minute of play forced Bordo Mavi's goalkeeper Aytaç Dilsafa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bordo Mavi's Aytaç Dilsafa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 20th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Chircu in the 22nd minute of play. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tamás Maros in the 26th minute. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Bekir Zühtü got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tamás Maros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Hegedus Henrik hit a great ball. Fodor Daniel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tamás Maros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play.

Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamás Maros, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aytaç Dilsafa could save by the left post. Pompiliu Cangeopol hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Bordo Mavi's goalkeeper Aytaç Dilsafa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aytaç Dilsafa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bekir Zühtü might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bekir Zühtü ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aytaç Dilsafa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bordo Mavi fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Bordo Mavi's Tamás Maros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bordo Mavi's Aytaç Dilsafa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tamás Maros in the 85th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pompiliu Cangeopol fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bordo Mavi's protests and gave Pompiliu Cangeopol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Pompiliu Cangeopol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary's Antal Valentin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bordo Mavi. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Major Barna got a free kick in the 94th minute. Bordo Mavi's Bekir Zühtü got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bordo Mavi were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
