After 12 played minutes, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dan Bergstedt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Switzerland reached it. Pelle Flinck succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 16th playminute. In the 20th minute, Jacinto Maurer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timo Siegmund got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Flinck, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Flinck in the 30th minute of play. When Samuele Kunz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Samuele Kunz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jämjö IFK booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuele Kunz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pelle Flinck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, Jämjö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Hedling to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Maurer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Flinck in the 53rd minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Jämjö IFK's Ludwig Waller got a free kick in the 57th minute. Pelle Flinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Rodrigo von Känel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 69 minutes, Pelle Flinck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jämjö IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelle Flinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Maurer got free with Dan Bergstedt in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pelle Flinck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. After 73 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Maurer. Jacinto Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Bergstedt having to interfere. Hias Nüssli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelle Flinck's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Flinck in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pelle Flinck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pelle Flinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. Jämjö IFK's Pelle Flinck got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Flinck in the 96th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
