Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Lucian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Dolberg kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alberto Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tapebicuá's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Lucian came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 27th managed to get into a good position. A very good chance. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Bjarne Kirkegaard's late challenge caught a Tapebicuá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjarne Kirkegaard helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Denmark!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Dolberg to make the kick off. Arnoldo Ignazio charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnoldo Ignazio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 55 minutes into the game, one of Tapebicuá:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tapebicuá:s Alberto Lucian showed great skill when he stopped Chris Nygaard:s penalty. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Ignazio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Gaudencio Maldonado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapebicuá and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tapebicuá were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnoldo Ignazio took the corner. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Theis Winther put in a rough tackle. Arnoldo Ignazio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bertram Svenningsen struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Alberto Lucian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Tapebicuá were victorious despite being under pressure from Denmark for much of the match.
