The audience was convinced that Antal Valentin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitar Vetzov was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after FC Bansko's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. In the 7th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Hungary's attentive Balazs Lajos managed to snatch the ball when Nedelcho Gutzov made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 13th minute of play. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Vetzov having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitar Vetzov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimitar Vetzov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Major Barna went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dimitar Vetzov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Dimitar Vetzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik in the 33rd minute of play. Dimitar Vetzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Momkov kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Balazs Lajos came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balazs Lajos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of play forced FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, FC Bansko's Venko Petrov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venko Petrov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitar Vetzov having to interfere. Antal Valentin scored 1-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitar Vetzov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the FC Bansko defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitar Vetzov. The FC Bansko fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitar Vetzov should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 75th minute of play forced FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov did a great save. 78 minutes into the match, FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balazs Lajos. Slavcho Peychinov kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Bakos Endre made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Balazs Lajos. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Bansko throughout the match.
