The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Henry Robiquet hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Luican in the 25th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute Real Racing Club were awarded a corner. Du went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Du got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maxime Durand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Real Racing Club's Gao Fei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 33rd minute of play. Marin Luican could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Maxime Durand made a huge save. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Luican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ruperto Viviano fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Racing Club's protests and gave Ruperto Viviano a yellow card for diving instead. Ruperto Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Luican came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 91st minute, Frank Peletier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Real Racing Club were victorious despite being under pressure from France for much of the match.
