Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. Germany's Frank Sachs was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iurie Chiriacescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Iurie Chiriacescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Văcărescu. Filip Vlaicu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. AC MiLaN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 24 minutes into the match, Emil Văcărescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the game, Fausto Puja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC MiLaN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. After a rather tough play, AC MiLaN's Fausto Puja got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, AC MiLaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Crăcană to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when AC MiLaN's Emil Văcărescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavius Pârâianu was the one to do the kick off. After 51st play minutes Emil Văcărescu shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Tommy Kahn and just under the crossbar into goal. 5-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Flavius Pârâianu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. AC MiLaN's Ionică Vornicescu was substituted for Aurelian Acalinei. 79 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Avram came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iurie Chiriacescu having to make a save. A collision led to AC MiLaN getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Dorel Crăcană hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Chiriacescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC MiLaN walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
