Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chris Nygaard made the kick off which started today's match. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. Émilien Tessier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lilian Thuram charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lilian Thuram the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lilian Thuram hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Youri Djorkaeff in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moïse Labruyère made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 24th minute of play. Bilal Moutte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. Simon Collinet got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Youri Djorkaeff. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moïse Labruyère saved Avel Vat from getting behind. Côme Rouquette made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Djorkaeff's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Côme Rouquette made in the 47th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Youri Djorkaeff was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Ludvigsen to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Youri Djorkaeff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Youri Djorkaeff's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Youri Djorkaeff helped the player get up and apologised. 60 minutes into the game, Simon Collinet threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Lars Steen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Djorkaeff in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Youri Djorkaeff hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Avel Vat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Côme Rouquette to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Côme Rouquette in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Lars Steen. After 75 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Victorien Perbet. A hard shot by Chris Nygaard from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Moïse Labruyère's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Denmark booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Collinet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Steen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Moïse Labruyère tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Youri Djorkaeff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Côme Rouquette in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. Côme Rouquette made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lilian Thuram however managed to control. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff. But to his dismay, Youri Djorkaeff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Avel Vat's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
