Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rapid Wien fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn in the 12th minute of play. Robin Dommröse kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Dommröse, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Tempel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alf Tempel. Alf Tempel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Andreas Olejarz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Rapid Wien players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.

In the 56th minute, Robin Dommröse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Alf Tempel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Hagedorn in the 80th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Tempel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rapid Wien made a substitution. Sergio Skoczylas replaced Robin Dommröse. After 90 minutes Rapid Wien's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alf Tempel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alf Tempel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Eikelkamp during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Wien's Daniel Hagedorn. But to his dismay, Daniel Hagedorn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
