Match Report

Rychy Stadion
Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
Ricsi 75's Jean-Marie Seigneur started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Jean-Marie Seigneur came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 6 minute. Kornél Révész showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Frank Sachs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kornél Révész quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kornél Révész came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ricsi 75's Jean-Marie Seigneur got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jean-Marie Seigneur sent off a good shot on target. Ferenc Vass shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferenc Vass in the 24th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albin Holweck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kornél Révész having to make a save. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kornél Révész. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ferenc Vass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 59th minute. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ricsi 75's Jean-Marie Seigneur. But to his dismay, Jean-Marie Seigneur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 64th minute, Róbert Nyíri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Ferenc Vass came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 74 in the game by Frank Sachs from a close distance when the talented Kornél Révész managed to make a qualified save. Ricsi 75's players were relieved. The supporters of Ricsi 75 booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferenc Vass in the 76th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Marie Seigneur in the 81st minute of the match. The long shot by Chris Mergenthaler in the 84th minute really tested Kornél Révész's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ferenc Vass took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kornél Révész breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricsi 75 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Germany for a fine match.
