Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yens De Neuter's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Anyuna Parab made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 30th minute Yens De Neuter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anyuna Parab narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yens De Neuter in the 37th minute of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Anyuna Parab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yens De Neuter, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, PANUNDA F C's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Anyuna Parab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yens De Neuter in the 47th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

PANUNDA F C made a substitution. Heri Noor replaced Manjinder Hira. The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anyuna Parab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 87th minute of play forced PANUNDA F C's goalkeeper Anyuna Parab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind PANUNDA F C's goalkeeper Anyuna Parab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kara Bhattacharya in the 92nd minute of play.
