Anier Eneko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Bellomo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Germany booed when TibaDons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Bellomo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pepe Le Petit was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Eneko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Anier Eneko sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pepe Le Petit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörgen Luuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. 34 minutes in the game, Anier Eneko fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pepe Le Petit saved TibaDons from getting behind. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Anier Eneko came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. TibaDons's Anier Eneko got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Eneko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Anier Eneko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

TibaDons's Dennis Bellomo got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Dennis Bellomo off the ground. After 53 played minutes TibaDons got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Bellomo. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Donnelly in the 56th minute of play. Per-Erik Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, TibaDons's Pepe Le Petit got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's Adrian Dreifuss managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anier Eneko in the 69 minute of the game. 70 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TibaDons the free kick. In the 70th minute, Frank Sachs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pepe Le Petit having to make a save. After 82 minutes of play, TibaDons's John Donnelly made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Donnelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
