The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Vanooteghem in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sinsin's Emanuel Vanooteghem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Emanuel Vanooteghem notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the game, Emanuel Vanooteghem cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. Frank Sachs hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match.
