Güngör Rasif ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Güngör Rasif almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Güngör Rasif took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Semih Ayyıldız read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a free kick in the 91st minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güngör Rasif in the 92nd minute of play. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
