After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sezer Akburç quite easily take care of the ball. In the 19th minute, Gösta Broman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 1-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sezer Akburç, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sezer Akburç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sezer Akburç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sezer Akburç made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 43 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gösta Broman made a kick off. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Broman, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezer Akburç having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Džemil Živković came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezer Akburç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Broman in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AISNEREN PATRIOTS ®'s Serdar Deniz got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 70th minute of play forced AISNEREN PATRIOTS ®'s goalkeeper Sezer Akburç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 74th minute. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Sezer Akburç despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80th minute Gösta Broman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Feliciano Baumar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. AISNEREN PATRIOTS ®'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. AISNEREN PATRIOTS ®'s Sezer Akburç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save AISNEREN PATRIOTS ® from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Džemil Živković in the 91st minute of play. Sezer Akburç made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Eikelkamp in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 95th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Broman in the 96th minute of play.
