Hegedus Henrik hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Alexandru Raţiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cristian Voican tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of A.C. Milan's Cristian Voican. Cristian Voican was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Voican didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ferdinand Radu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Cristian Voican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 18th minute of play. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Voican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Voican showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.C. Milan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 31st minute of play forced A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Cristian Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Voican having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Major Barna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Cristian Voican was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Voican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Voican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 39th minute of play. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after A.C. Milan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. 46 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Voican made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Voican. A.C. Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Cristian Voican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takacs Tibor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Voican didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Takacs Tibor went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. 1-8 became the score in the 58th minute when Alexandru Raţiu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Takacs Tibor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Voican read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Cristian Voican was a little too slow when Antal Valentin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-9. In the 64th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Voican. A.C. Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. Antal Valentin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristian Voican came out and tried to block the shot, but Antal Valentin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-11 in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the A.C. Milan defense, Balazs Lajos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Voican. The A.C. Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Voican should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, A.C. Milan's Pavel Răuţă got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cristian Voican didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Major Barna got a free kick in the 79th minute. Cristian Voican made an important save on a dangerous shot by Takacs Tibor in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Cristian Voican, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A.C. Milan's Cristian Voican proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. Milan from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Major Barna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.C. Milan's Cristian Voican did a great save. After 91 minutes, Dorel Povară mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Milan and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cristian Voican didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Cristian Voican made a huge save. Hungary played a much better game than A.C. Milan and deserved their victory. The A.C. Milan players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
