The Academia Monte Gordo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mao Zhen Hong should have stopped the shot. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mao Zhen Hong having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Mao Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 14th minute of the match. Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hegedus Henrik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mao Zhen Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 25th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The corner led Academia Monte Gordo's Rodrigo Mafra to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrício Lustosa was the one to do the kick off. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 51st minute of play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrício Lustosa in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Lustosa took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 59th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mao Zhen Hong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With his leg Mao Zhen Hong managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 67 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Academia Monte Gordo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Mafra in the 69th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigo Mafra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fodor Daniel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Lustosa in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Fabrício Lustosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia Monte Gordo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
