Alfredo Aguilar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Omar Toledo's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's Roque Gora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Ascaso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roque Gora in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Toledo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 59th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute of the match, Adria Bielsa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Aguilar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Spain's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
