Chen Hao Yue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Khalid Kennedy made a huge save. Khalid Kennedy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Wennerquist in the 7th minute. England were furious when Cooper Thompson was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 22nd minute of play forced Melenky FC's goalkeeper Zachary Piwowarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. England's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Micah Macdonald in the 23rd minute. Zachary Piwowarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 40 minutes into the game, Leighton Davies threw the ball into play from the sideline. Melenky FC's David Kalandinskiy quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, England's Khalid Kennedy got control of the ball when Georgiy Makarskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kyle Cox came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Cox couldn't finish the play.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zachary Piwowarski saved Melenky FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Melenky FC's zone, Kyle Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachary Piwowarski came out of the goal and Kyle Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Zachary Piwowarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zachary Piwowarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 95th minute of play. Melenky FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of England for a fine match.
