INTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frits Berendt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frits Berendt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Malicki having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Lauro Nieto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Bento might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho Lira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Bento ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Lauro Nieto in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by INTER FC's Cássio Porto. Sebastian Malicki didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when INTER FC's Emerson Cruz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. After 41 minutes, Bruno Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER FC and the Liverpool players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Malicki made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Frits Berendt sent off a good shot on target. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Ricardinho Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Ferreira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Sebastian Malicki skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 94thth minute of the game Luís Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool's Sebastian Malicki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Malicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Ferreira in the 95th minute. The INTER FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing INTER FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
