Santiago Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Iratxo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Celestiales's corner Jiang Sha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gavino Iratxo quite easily take care of the ball. Santiago Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Ciprian Răuțchi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celestiales's Iker Madrid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Jiang Sha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celestiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jiang Sha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciprian Răuțchi might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Madrid. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciprian Răuțchi ran back to his position shaking his head. Celestiales's Iker Madrid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Răuțchi in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cipriano Llorian made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Llorian's late challenge caught a Celestiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Llorian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Celestiales booed when Real Espartillar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Llorian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Espartillar may have spent more time on the ball, but Celestiales were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
