Tomas Brandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rius Mascaran in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse got control of the ball when Marcelito Vivar tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Puch in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermann Hesse saved Deportivo Popolizio FBC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Puch in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermann Hesse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Tomas Brandt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Brandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rius Mascaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rius Mascaran scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Brandt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hermann Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pudes Vilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Jean-Luc Picard with Marcelito Vivar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pudes Vilas in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Popolizio FBC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Obano Mezcano was slow to take the kick. During this time Alianza Trujillo's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Marcelito Vivar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
