Boruc Tworek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazimierz Traczewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boruc Tworek came out of the goal and Kazimierz Traczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Boruc Tworek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Traczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Paulo Renato Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boruc Tworek having to interfere. After 95th play minutes Wilbur Bain shot 0-13, a short shot which went by Boruc Tworek and just under the crossbar into goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
