Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) TEMPLE F.C.'s Elpidio Gonzales started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Elpidio Gonzales reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 1-0. Rodolfo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, TEMPLE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Rodolfo Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Baskın Nihat came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, TEMPLE F.C.'s Elpidio Gonzales got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rodolfo Ricart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Gonzales in the 31st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Elpidio Gonzales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baskın Nihat, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TEMPLE F.C. the free kick. 67 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Baskın Nihat came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of TEMPLE F.C. booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. TEMPLE F.C. made a substitution. Karl-Magnus Rolandsson replaced Elpidio Gonzales. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Ricart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Magnus Rolandsson's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes Gijsbert ter Kruimer rounded TEMPLE F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Rodolfo Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute of the match. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Ricart. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind TEMPLE F.C.'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Ricart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TEMPLE F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
