The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Real Unión CF getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Sandalio Urquiaga hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuan Jian Hai kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Balazs Lajos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Real Unión CF's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Wilfredo Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Unión CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After 21 minutes, Cebo Segura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Unión CF and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 24th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Yermo in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli. Wilfredo Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes into the match, Real Unión CF's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Wilfredo Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Heli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Takacs Tibor's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Unión CF's Yuan Jian Hai. But to his dismay, Yuan Jian Hai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Unión CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Sandalio Urquiaga hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Wilfredo Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuan Jian Hai. After 47th play minutes Yuan Jian Hai shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Fodor Daniel and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Wilfredo Heli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 58th minute of the match, Takacs Tibor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilfredo Heli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Real Unión CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli did a great save. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Wilfredo Heli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Sven Zollinger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Unión CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. The supporters of Hungary booed when Real Unión CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Zollinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Wilfredo Heli managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Real Unión CF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Cebo Segura hit a great ball. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, 김 반 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Unión CF's supporters rose to their feet, but 김 반 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Heli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When 김 반 came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Real Unión CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 김 반 couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
