Wilfredo Heli came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes, Chris Mergenthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Real Unión CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 김 반 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 김 반 charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 김 반 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Wilfredo Heli in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilfredo Heli made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 2-0 when 김 반 sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn.
