In the 13th minute, MEL - ULTIMATE's Renan Valladares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. MEL - ULTIMATE were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hugo Arce took the corner. The corner ended in Hugo Arce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. 19 minutes into the game, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Arruda saved MEL - ULTIMATE from getting behind. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Valladares in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Rodolfo Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugal's protests and gave Rodolfo Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. Wilson Amorim had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Hugo Arce's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Henrique Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 49th minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. Henrique Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Barreto's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Renan Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. MEL - ULTIMATE's Renan Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Marinho in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Pimentel during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MEL - ULTIMATE booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos. Hugo Arce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Renan Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jailson Fernandez in the 73 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Jailson Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. MEL - ULTIMATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renan Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrique Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson Fernandez in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Valladares in the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Renan Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MEL - ULTIMATE's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
