Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chris Nygaard got the match started through his kick off. Bertram Svenningsen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Chris Nygaard hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Juan Hoffmann sent off a good shot on target. Denmark's Theis Winther managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gilberto Barreto in the 11 minute of the game. Jonas Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Jonas Ferraz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Keld Paulsen to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Denmark booed when Riograndense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Marquinhos de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. When Marquinhos de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Riograndense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquinhos de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Riograndense FC booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitório Mineiro. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Bjarne Kirkegaard got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Anderson Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Marquinhos de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riograndense FC's Anderson Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Steen in the 64th minute of play. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 75 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertram Svenningsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Vitório Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goalkeeper Anderson Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bertram Svenningsen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertram Svenningsen during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertram Svenningsen to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Denmark players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Riograndense FC.
