Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Gelu Alexandrescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Săliştean in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Fotbal Club Otelul Galati were awarded a corner. Denis Dorlea went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's corner Denis Dorlea fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. In the 14th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Păunescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Lars Meesters got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 17 minutes into the match. Gelu Alexandrescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Nechifor Păunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gelu Alexandrescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. In the 33rd minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gust Ennemans to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Denis Dorlea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 41 minutes of play, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Cezar Cucu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd match minute, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Şteţ to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezar Cucu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 53rd minute, Cezar Cucu made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Alexandrescu in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egbert Nijveldt in the 58th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Petre Săliştean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Nechifor Păunescu made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. 龙冰文 might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 龙冰文 ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Alexandrescu in the 79th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Petre Săliştean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Gelu Alexandrescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Gelu Alexandrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Denis Dorlea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fotbal Club Otelul Galati reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati had won after a very even match.
