Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gelu Alexandrescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezar Cucu got free with Fodor Daniel in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Cezar Cucu managed to work through Hungary's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cezar Cucu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 9 played minutes Fotbal Club Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Hârlab. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gelu Alexandrescu's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cezar Cucu sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Alexandrescu in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gelu Alexandrescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 24th minute of play. Hungary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Petre Săliştean scored to the left of an out of position Fodor Daniel, making the score, 1-1. In the 34th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Şteţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Vörös Henrik sped through Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nechifor Păunescu.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Cucu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After 56 played minutes Fotbal Club Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Hârlab. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Alexandrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Alexandrescu came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Denis Dorlea in the 63rd minute. After taking down the ball on Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's corner Denis Dorlea fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Săliştean in the 73rd minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Cucu in the 74th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Major Barna to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes Fotbal Club Otelul Galati got a freekick which was hit by Petre Săliştean. In the 87th minute Cezar Cucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fotbal Club Otelul Galati fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hungary had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
