After having played for 6 minutes, Mitch Marleau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moose FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mitch Marleau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Weiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Willy Stieler's late challenge caught a Moose FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willy Stieler helped the player get up and apologised. Willy Stieler hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Marleau in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Earle Hollis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mitch Marleau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Moose FC's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Kitchen came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Albin Holweck a yellow card for diving instead. Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
