Hauk Hareide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Hauk Hareide received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Hauk Hareide slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 25th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Carabata Groove's Felix Musko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Graciano Coutinho hit a great ball. Felix Musko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Carabata Groove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Hoffman to maneuver through the defense. After 89 minutes Carabata Groove's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Pimentel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristobal Goito quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Domeka in the 96th minute of play.
