The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Greenbay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Major Barna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eugen Remus quite easily take care of the ball. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Alderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Greenbay's Eugen Remus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes in the game Bakos Endre did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Balazs Lajos. 23 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Eugen Remus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugen Remus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takacs Tibor in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Greenbay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugen Remus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Eugen Remus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Will Alderson during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Greenbay got a freekick which was hit by Will Alderson. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Remus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Alderson in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Major Barna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Eugen Remus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Will Alderson came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Will Alderson came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Greenbay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Will Alderson couldn't finish the play. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. In the 93rd minute, Antal Valentin made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Remus. Greenbay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Despite being the better team, Hungary failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
