In the 3rd minute, Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alavés's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Nils-Åke Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Åke Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 8th minute of the match. Lesardo Alavedra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Lesardo Alavedra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Alavés fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Andreasson having to interfere. Hungary:s Fodor Daniel showed great skill when he stopped Lesardo Alavedra:s penalty. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nils-Åke Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Deportivo Alavés got a freekick which was hit by Sergi Gómez. 42 minutes into the match, Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lesardo Alavedra to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Lesardo Alavedra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Deportivo Alavés's Nils-Åke Andreasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Alavés from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Sergi Gómez notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hungary's Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antal Valentins short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Nils-Åke Andreasson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Lesardo Alavedra sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. Lesardo Alavedra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Hegedus Henrik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nils-Åke Andreasson. That made the score 4-1 after 76 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Lesardo Alavedra put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiggo Wipp, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 88 minutes of play, Deportivo Alavés's Wiggo Wipp made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 92 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Major Barna hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
