In the 19thth minute of the game Barney Lavine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Águia Real FC's Gualter Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Águia Real FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barney Lavine came free, but Gualter Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Barney Lavine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualter Secco. Águia Real FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barney Lavine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo de Amaral in the 25th minute of play forced Kilcotton's goalkeeper Bran Hutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Águia Real FC booed when Kilcotton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Martyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bran Hutton. The audience held their breath when Fabiano Martins in the 43rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Bran Hutton's left hand side. Barney Lavine struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Gualter Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilcotton.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Eduardo de Amaral made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Águia Real FC's João Augusto Vaz got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some careless play in the Águia Real FC defense, Barney Lavine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualter Secco. The Águia Real FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualter Secco should have stopped the shot. Gualter Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney Lavine in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barney Lavine in the 65th minute of play forced Águia Real FC's goalkeeper Gualter Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Luís Eduardo de Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Bran Hutton. Kilcotton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-5. The Kilcotton supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kilcotton would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
